These pedestrians already discovered and are using NJ Transit’s new 2nd Street Station bike/walk path. NJ Transit officials now report that the path is expected to be open by the end of 2013.

I was happy to read that NJ Transit announced that the 2nd Street Station bike-path, which Bikas wrote about earlier here, will be open to the public very soon. NJ.com has an article, dated November 11th 2013, entitled One year late, $4M walkway linking Hoboken and Jersey City nearing completion. It reads in part:

The Hudson Bergen Light Rail Second Street Esplanade is about a half-mile long and spans from Hoboken and Newark avenues in Jersey City to the Second Street Light Rail Station in Hoboken. […] The path is expected to be open to the public by the end of 2013, said William Smith, spokesman for NJ Transit.
